Sitting Pretty

Do you eve have a moment when you just sit back and want to cry? Today was one of those days...Jaeli is sitting up by herself now. It brought tears to my eyes. I can't believe how fast she is growing. Poor girl. Little does she know how much mom and dad love her. Little does she know how mom is going to try to convince her to be a dancer. Little does she know her boyfriends will be chased away by her dad or our dog. HAHA!

Obsessed? Nah....

We all knew this report was coming, so if you don't want to hear about NEW MOON, don't read this post. A Doctor my mother works with rents out whole theatres when big movies are premiering. All of the money he gets from ticket sales goes straight to the Christmas Box House. Also, a friend of hers that is a Nurse rented one to raise money for a Hospital in Africa. I couldn't pass up the opportunity up to help others. And, in return, I got to see a great movie! NEW MOON!!! I really thought they did a superb job on this movie. The only thing I wish I had done, besides purchase and sport a great Twilight shirt (HEHE), is read NEW MOON again before going. I remembered a lot, but it would have helped with small details. They did great in portraying the Werewolves and how they morph. I also thought they did a spectacular job with the Volturi. Now I am conflicted however. When I read New Moon, I felt so bad for Jacob...you can't help but feel bad for him. It's even worse in the movie. Bella and Jacob's relationship really shines, moreso in the movie (makes sense) so it's hard to see her go back to Edward. Don't get me wrong, I am still the biggest fan of the Vampires...I just have s soft spot in my heart for Jacob now. If you are a Twilight Saga fan, I would love to hear your comments when you see it. Let me know what you think. Dan may take me again tomorrow night! :)

Growing Like a Weed

Our little one is growing so fast! Here are just some fun, random pics from the day Daddy got home from a California business trip. Don't ask about the sock thing. She was so funny about my fuzzy socks.

Not Without My Winter Coat!

I am NOT ready for Winter to come. It was a chilly but beautiful morning...clear blue skies and all. Then, when I was leaving from doing crafts all morning, the blizzard had hit. It was CRAZY!!!! I was freezing all day long. It made me think, 'Okay Nat, you REALLY need a new coat.' This is when I was out and about with my mom shopping today. All of a sudden I felt a cold, tingly feeling on my toes and balls of my feet. That is when I realized the soles of my shoes were cracked and the water was gushing into them. 'That's embarrassing....you OBVIOUSLY need new shoes as well.'

Ya know, I've always been about 'What do I WANT for Christmas and the Holidays' or just any time.....not anymore. Having a little girl has made me think about cutting down on the unnecessary.

I am so happy my little Jae had her new winter coat and that adorable hat to keep her head warm. At least she was protected and felt safe........I wouldn't have it any other way. She was so happy and looks like a beautiful blue marshmallow!

Now I realize I made myself sound raggedy... :) I do have nice things, don't worry. Being outside in the cold today just made me realize what is REALLY important.

'It takes a Village to Raise a Child....'

My post today is about a new Blinkie I found, 'I Have Seen the Village, and I want to Raise my OWN Children'.......my goodness how true! I got a message on Face Book from my sister in law. She said that when she went to pick her little boy up from Child Care, somebody had spilled coffee on him! What the freak is what I say to that! Why would you have hot coffee around little ones? Wouldn't you say something to the mother when she arrived to get her son? Wow....wow....wow. Scary world!

Then I have to think about what contributes to a "Village". I think of good people like Grandparents, Great Grandparents, brothers and sisters, spectacular teachers. .....the list COULD go on........I love the good citizens of the "Village".

Mommy and Baby Classes

I'm writing for suggestions from ANYBODY on where I can find Mommy and Baby classes. Instead of sitting home every day, I really think Jaeli would enjoy getting out and doing something fun. Then I think, is it worth dragging her out into the sick-infested community we all exist in? I really feel she needs more exposure...especially to music and even to just be around other little ones. Any ideas would be so great. Mentioning money would be important too. We need classes that aren't going to cost us an arm and a leg.

Shouldn't have Vented

Today is kind of a bummer day. I feel sad, depressed, alone and overwhelmed. Has anyone ever felt this way....really for no good reason? I mean it doesn't help that Dan had to leave again tonight for California. I am not a fan of Cali anymore.

Moving on to my next item of frustration.....what is with people and their driving lately? Well, mostly tonight while taking Dan to the airport and previous nights as well. Brights are on EVERYWHERE!!!!! Really, people, you need your brights on the freeway where a million and one OTHER people are driving with their lights? UGH!!!! I can't see because of you, and maybe because I need to wash my car (especially the inside of my windshield).

Another item to top my pet peeve list.....people at ANY store that park their carts in front of you or block an aisle with NO intention of moving it until you make a big deal, clear your throat or say excuse me very LOUDLY! Look around everyone! It's not all about you!

Thanks for reading and letting me vent. I won't do this all the time, I promise! :)

Disappointment

Oh sad. Jaeli will NOT take her bottle anymore. It was one night, who knows why. Why does my darling girl have to be so stubborn? I need suggestions on how to get her to take one....HELP!!!!!

HALLELUJAH!

I snuck a couple of pictures of Jae TAKING A BOTTLE! Yes friends, taking a bottle. She wouldn't take one for six months, and all of a sudden she did. Cross your fingers she continues with the trend.

Our Little Pea

Our little girl turned 6 months today!!!! She is growing so fast. Lately, she loves to examine my hair. Don't think it's enjoyable for me, with the pulling and grabbing, but she's so curious. She also really likes to go from her stomach up on her side to look around. From there, she decides where she wants to be and rolls to her destination. Crawling will be coming soon! Happy Six Months little Pea!

Swine, Swine Go Away!

While in California, Dan got really sick. A friend he was with took him into the Hospital. For those of you who know Dan, he has to be really, really miserable to even consider going to get help. For a little bit, we thought he may have the Swine Flu. Luckily, the Doctor told him he just has the regular flu. Don't get me wrong, the flu is not fun in any way, shape or form. We're just glad it wasn't as serious as we thought. Also, we are happy to hear that Tyler, Lindsey and Max are okay. Miss you guys!

I was just watching the News on channel 2 and was informed that Pharmacies are going to start giving the H1N1 Vaccine. If you go to www.connect2utah.com under Health, you can read more about it. I hope you are all feeling well!

Oh my! This picture rocks!!!! I believe this was the Spring of '04 at USU. My cousin Lincoln, Dan and I were getting ready for the first day of the semester. Random picture but sweet.

California bites. Dan left on November 1st and comes home on the 11th. It makes me sad to be alone with Jaeli. We both miss him very much. It makes me smile to see how she lights up when Daddy comes home. They have such a good time. Yup, she surely has Daddy wrapped around her little finger! A couple of these may already be posted, but I just love them. WE MISS YOU DADDY! COME HOME SAFE!

Like all holidays, we were surrounded by yummy treats. Grandma Leishman is making her famous Halloween sugar cookies with cream cheese frosting. Then, I let Jaeli choose her very first Halloween treat from Grandma and Grandpa Zundel. Mom enjoyed it thoroughly. Like mother, like daughter!

Here are some great Halloween pictures.....Jaeli didn't have a clue what was going on and wanted to know why I was making her wear a witch tutu and a witch hat. It was a blast though.
